R.I.P. Alan Stark

On September 20th, Mr. Alan J. Stark passed away suddenly while on holiday in Spain.

Next week, two memorials are planned to celebrate Alan’s life.

The first, designed specifically with Alan’s industry colleagues in mind, will be held Thursday, October 13th , 6:30pm-7:30pm at the Linwood Dunn Theater, Pickford Center for Motion Picture Study (1313 Vine Street, Los Angeles, CA), with a reception to follow.

The second, designed for family and friends, is scheduled to be held on Saturday, October 15th at 10:00am at Our Lady of Malibu Catholic Church (3625 Winter Canyon Road, Malibu, CA) with Alan’s favorite lunch to follow.

Everyone is welcome at both locations.

Alan Stark was the Vice President at Film Technology Company Inc. in Los Angeles. He co-produced a variety of radio programs, LP’s, CD’s and video cassettes, all of which center around vintage films or vintage film music. He was a charter and lifteime member of the Assocation of Moving Image Archivists.
